Yearly Price Range

It is very rare that I will say anything on this board, because it was meant for your use only. I will not want to respond further on this board for some time to come. I am calling the present situation on COPY as a buy, because the fundamentals have improved. However, I am considering the yearly price range on this stock according to past record. The range makes for a very good trade opportunity. I have noticed that even those people that do not like this stock will often take advantage of the yearly move which can range from a move of 100% to 200% from bottom to top. Of course, there is always a chance that this year it will not work. Some people, whether it be some of you or brokerage insiders, have made some serious money trading this stock. Remember that I have never said that this stock will go to the moon. I have stated that it is good for a range of movement.

I do believe in a standard of ethics. I have intentions on buying some stock, but I would not be ethical if I bought the stock first and then presented it as a buy. At this point, I actually hope that the stock does not move until I do make my buy. I would rather if it came down even more in the coming few days. That is my situation as of right now. To make your own decision on this whole affair, you should study at least the five year chart and draw a generalized line across the bottoms and the tops. Be aware of the time spans involved. As you should note, profits would never occur overnight. It took several months in each case for something substantial to occur. The stock has been strong in the period of say December to March. However, you may have your own opinion. If you are a trader at heart, then I am sure that you can see the problem at the higher range. When should you sell? You could simply get out when it hits your generalized upper line. You could sell when the volume goes through the roof at any point above the line. Of course, if you believe that the advance is the real thing, then you could simply set a mental stop-loss. Keep in mind that this is an over-the-counter stock where the rules are not quite the same as on the Nasdaq when it comes to execution of orders. Just one more thing, I hold respect for all on this board whether it be bulls or bears on this stock. Do not allow yourself to get emotional. The purpose is to exchange information. I will admit that I have seen some good reasoning by some of the bears who also believe in taking advantage of the yearly price range. You must learn from others with an open mind. Good Luck......

Forum: CopyTele

Copy, a New Chapter

I thought it might be a good idea to start a new thread, especially since we are all playing nice now. Saint is now apologizing, Denis is no longer being slandered and now even given enough respect that the Reynolds group, Friends of CopyTele II, will allow him to stay on as CEO as long as the new board they put in place approves of his business decisions. I think this love fest deserves a new thread.

AND, I am even on board and you can have my votes, my families and friends if you can answer just a few of my questions. No big deal, you want answers from Denis, there are just a few of us shareholders that would like some answers from you before you plan a coup with our voting shares. Shouldn't be a problem, we all want the truth right?

Before my questions, I need to correct Bubba on one statement he made. Bubba, make no mistake and let there be no doubt, Bowers is up to his eyeballs in this Reynolds letter. It is just a fact, that this is Friends of CopyTele II, but better planned and being executed with a sense of urgency.

Okay, now the questions.

1.) Over 11 million shares, impressive. Actually impressive enough that I think it represents a large enough block that you Mr. Reynolds should be able to place a call to the Dhoots. So the questions is, what exactly do the Dhoots think of placing a new board. What do they think of Denis as the CEO and what is their opinion of the job he has done thus far?

I really would like to know what the Dhoots think of this whole thing. Anyone else curious? 11 million shares plus, they should pick the phone up for that.

2.) A few years ago we had an independent board, but it really didn't seem to help. Now if you are planning to place enough independents on the board to out vote Denis at any given time that raises a whole host of other questions. Is the plan to place enough people on the board to out vote Denis and any people he has on the board that are "Denis friendly"? Because that means you are actually planning a backdoor take over of the company.

3.) How do we shareholders, those of us that own less then a million shares, how do we know that taking over the board with a majority vote is not a back door to taking over the company?

Now there could be a whole host of reasons as to why that should concern every shareholder. Now I am not making any accusations but I would like some assurance from the Reynolds group that they haven't cut a deal on the side with the likes of e-ink (Prime View), AMZN, AAPL or Phillips to sell the important patents for a song as they are enriched on the side very quietly from the company that is trying to avoid paying royalties to COPY for patent infringement. Yea Yea, I know, maybe all of us shareholders get a few bucks a share but the real money and wealth gets shared on the side by the Reynolds group.

This is a legitimate question guys. We all know now that COPY was just granted THE PATENT that makes e-readers read. How do we know that the Reynolds group and the companies looking to steal the patents didn't have the connections or power to know in advance from the patent office that they were on the losing end of the deal and therefore got the ball rolling for Friends of CopyTele II?

This is a fair question and needs to be answered and safe guards need to be put in place for ALL shareholders.

4.) All of us are experts in the fields we endeavor in, most of us have run businesses with hundreds of employees but I am not an expert in this field, I know how to run a successful business but I am not qualified to be on the board of a technology company. Are any of you experts in the technology that COPY has patents in? I would kind of doubt that, I know I have shown and discussed this technology with a man who once was considered the best tel-com analyst in the world, worked at Deutsche Bank the same time Charlie did, so good he retired at 40 and got out of tech 8 months before that bubble burst, private equity now. Any time I have tech questions I go to him and he can can explain it to me. He is a family member, so there is no BS ever, just frank and honest discussions. That said, I would have to imagine that before spending all this money on the proxy battle, you surely had to employ an expert in this field to give you an honest and fair evaluation of what exactly COPY is worth with her patents.

My question is, who is the person that gave you this independent analysis? And, is this person affiliated with or does he work for any company that could be considered a conflict, you know, like e-ink (Prime View) as just one example.

Exactly who is or who are the experts that gave the Reynolds group the green light to sink even more money and time into COPY. You guys are smart, I can't see you throwing good money after bad so you must have paid for some really good due diligence from an expert or group of experts before you committed more money to this investment. Who is he or who are they and are there any conflicts?

Its another fair question.

5.) The last question, why now? As big a COPY believer that I am, all this cloak and dagger stuff was old 20 years ago. This big push to take control of the board could have, should have come decades ago based on the opinions of many, but now comes the really big push that has the Reynolds group spending considerable money to take control of the board. The timing makes many of us suspicious, so please put our minds to rest as to the timing of this.

And to comment on Saint's comment that being invested for over 28 years in a company like this might not be so smart. Yep, in hind sight waiting in the dark with just faith is not a sound investment tactic. I was a young and I attended my first AGM in May of 83, I think there was about 20 of us there. At the time I didn't know a thing about the market but I was taken by the goal, a long shot at best but with 2 guys that had the backgrounds that could make it happen. I never dreamed that so much drama could unfold over 28 years. I'm tenacious as hell, I never quit or give up, as are all the other long term shareholders. So, forgive me if we seem a tad suspicious over this whole Reynolds group effort. If this is to end badly I would prefer it to end badly because Denis and the company failed NOT because some group of 5 shareholders make a shareholder appeal that screws up everything we have been waiting for.

I'm serious, if the Reynolds group screws this up for us long term shareholders we will band together, lawyer up and hold them responsible. They better know what the hell they are doing, and if they do know what they are doing then you or they should be able to answer the questions I posed and put our minds at ease.

DC3

Forum: CopyTele

This a letter I sent to Denis today based on my experience trying to buy stock this afternoon. And just in case no one believes me, another shareholder who does post here was on the phone with me while this was happening and can verify if she wants. I also printed as much documentation as I could. I share this with all you to help drive home the point that the market making in Copytele is wrong, I doubt that there is one market maker in the country that is not short this stock, it is all criminal!

Dear Denis,

Friday afternoon there was an event that occurred with the trading of CopyTele stock that needs to be brought to your attention.

On Friday, May 29th at 3:50pm the bid was .28 and the offer was .30; at 3:53 I placed a limit order for 30,000 shares @ .30 with TDAmeritrade. I was running live streaming quotes, for 2 minutes I watched as nothing happened, the bid, the ask and the volume stayed the same. I checked my account numerous times to be sure the order was placed right and each time it appeared in my order status as a live order waiting to be filled. I called TDAmeritrade and the broker I had on the phone saw the same thing, yet there were no fills, not even for 100 shares.

The broker I had on the phone had no explanation for me so he transferred me to a supervisor. Now by this time it was after 4:00 and the market was closed and still not one share filled and the bid, the ask and the volume stayed the same. The supervisor that was taking care of me had no explanation and I found that to be totally unsatisfactory. Needless to say I pitched a fit and told the supervisor that it was criminal that not one share was filled. I proceeded to tell her that I was going to report this to the SEC and to NASDAQ. It was at this time we were “disconnected”.

About 5 minutes later at 4:15 I received a call from another person at TDAmeritrade, the woman that called did not identify herself but proceeded to explain to me that since this was a very thinly traded stock they were having a hard time getting a report back from the market maker that they routed the trade to. She then proceeded to tell me that they were able to get 5,000 shares filled. While she is telling me this I am watching my computer and see that at 4:16 the trade goes through at .30 for 5,000 shares. I told the woman that I just saw the trade go through and it was reported at 4:16. She asked if I was happy with this. I basically said no and I explained to her that if any market maker was showing an offer they were by law obligated to fill at least 100 shares of the order and those shares should have been reported before the close at 4:00. It was apparent to me that they tried to ignore the order and allowed the stock to close at .28 and only after I pitched a fit did they give me shares but they were forced to report them as an after hours trade, thereby still showing a close at .28 which then ended the week and the month of May with a final close of .28 when in fact it should have been .30. I told her that this was totally unacceptable not only for me but for all the other shareholders as it reports on their month ending statements and for the company and their month end report.

I was pretty hot about it, I think what happened was totally criminal, although it was only 2 cents it is a 7% difference in the closing price of the company stock for the month end closing price. It is just all wrong and I thought you should be made aware of it should a 7% difference in the closing price make a difference for the month ending statement of the company. Even at these low levels the market makers still cheat and steal in making a market for CopyTele stock. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of this situation.

Best regards,

Dominic

Forum: CopyTele

Time for a new thread so that what is about to be discussed can not be deleted by the previous thread originator. I brought something up in the last thread that everyone needs to put a little thought in to, especially those that are looking for progress reports on manufacturing by looking for COPY to say something in a Q or K.

This is all my opinion and thought but I think COPY has no more information about the progress VC is making in production then you or I. If I was running VC, CopyTele wouldn't know about any progress until a check showed for royalties.

Has it crossed any-ones mind that VC is NOT keeping CopyTele updated as to their progress manufacturing the panel? There is nothing in their agreement requiring them to do so.

Why would they? VC has no exclusivity, so keeping COPY updated with progress would allow COPY to share that info with other companies wanting to license the technology. VC would want as much as a head start marketing and selling this product as they could get. And, why would they want to share how they were able to get the technology manufactured with COPY? It would be to COPY's benefit to share that knowledge with other manufacturers so that COPY could capture even more royalties but that would interfere with VC trying to catch as much market share as possible by being the only manufacturer selling the technology, why would VC want COPY to know anything that would help their competitors?

Common business practice on VC's part would be that they keep everything to themselves until they have to send a check to COPY.

Rednails is keeping us as up to date as VC is keeping COPY, IMO.

Forum: CopyTele

meetings past,present and future?

Greetings to all. I have been listening for a very long time, almost as long as I've held my position. But then, the net was not around back in the day. I've
been to several meetings. Used to take a sophisticated client and try to read the room. The Rollses in the parking lot, shorts up front heckling, Barrons reporters and tech-savvy guys trying the nail DK during Q&A, the demonstration room and more. Lunch wasn't bad. I'm here because I finally heard someone refer to the additional 120 million shares sanctioned at the last split as well as the rather rich tier of preferred perched off balance sheet for over 10 years now. I have a contact who claims to know of someone who got back office friction from a b/d during buy/sell activity on the mercurial run to 1.94 last year. Rhetorically now, Banks? Deals? Shorts? Relationships?
It was all paid-for stock, frozen. I'll sign off with a quote as close as I can recall from that 2 for 1 meeting long ago. "but DK, why so many shares?" "Because intitutions won't consider getting in anything with less than 100 million."
Forum: CopyTele
